Not a big fan of how unfair it can be but i guess thats rougelikes for you. invest 20+ minutes only to get stunlocked by a suprise mob. what this music? i'd love to use it or something similar in my own projects.
is there a reason why eating venus of willendorf produces a discord ping sound a couple of seconds after it's eaten? what was the intent behind this easter egg?
This is amazing. I hope this gets another update sometime... this could really use a bit more endless content (and more refined larger sizes + bigger visual maximums, maybe some soundscape depending on size as well), and maybe an ending where Edith just... becomes the "new" "dungeon" after a certain point. A bestiary that shows enemy types, all eatable objects, etc. and their stats/what they do which unlocks as long as you eat/defeat that thing at least once would also be really nice.
That aside, I really love what's there.
My one major suggestion besides new content is a mid-run saving feature. I had a power outage an hour into an endless run which wasn't exactly a fun time.
How is this game a rogue like? I played it for a good hour or so and still dont feel like im getting more progress from older runs, getting some secrets here and there.
you're thinking of more of a roguelite, where meta progression is a key part of games like tboi or etg; whereas a roguelike has far less or almost no meta progression, like noita or barony

can you map the input Interact and Eat in E and Q or just space?
What do the items do? I'm still stumped on what the cupcake does.
from what ive gathered it gives some hunger and changes appearance
It makes your clothes different and increases food limit, but I think it wears off, but you keep the extended food limit
super secret!
how
if you eat through the wall directly below you on the final floor, you can enter endless mode. The gutbuster appears on floor 5 onwards.
There's an even bigger enemy in the later floors of endless.
Hope more get added eventually...
I have to say, Wow.
I like your games, you're talented.
